Quick read
Return of the Dead is an Alliance Center defense event. Reinforce the Center, survive as many waves as possible and prevent its durability from reaching zero.
Do not relocate the Alliance Center during the attack stage
The game rules contains conflicting general wording, but the relocation confirmation explicitly warns that moving the Alliance Center during the attack stage counts as failed defense. Moving is not a safe escape from the established target.
- Complete any planned relocation before the attack warning/window, then recheck Center durability and garrisons.
- Before the first wave, confirm the Center exists, is not ruined, has assigned defenders and has a named replacement owner.
- A failed wave can damage the Center without ending the event; zero durability and ruins are the critical state that stops later-wave rewards.
Failure condition
Successful waves award rewards; failed waves damage the Alliance Center.
If Center durability reaches zero and it becomes ruins, later-wave rewards stop.
Confirm the live start timer instead of hard-coding an old 11:30 reference.
Fill the Alliance Center before the first wave.
Keep a replacement/rotation call ready for weakened defenders.
Watch Center durability, not just whether each individual wave is cleared.
Repair and reset the Center before the next Tuesday/Friday cycle.
Facts
- Season 3 confirms attacks every Tuesday and Friday.
- Successful waves award rewards; failed waves damage the Alliance Center.
- If Center durability reaches zero and it becomes ruins, later-wave rewards stop.
- Detailed Season 3 records strongly document a 30-wave / roughly 1-minute format, but the event description does not yet expose that exact count/interval; use the live event panel as authority.
- Relocating the Alliance Center does not change the attackers' established target in the current event.
BlackBar Gaming recommends
- Fill the Center with the strongest appropriate reinforcements before the event begins.
- Rotate/replace weakened defenders if the event rules and alliance coordination allow.
- Keep the Center repaired and available before the next attack day.
R4 / R5
- Publish reinforcement assignments and start reminders before Tuesday/Friday instead of reacting after the first waves.
Watch out
- If the live event panel shows a different wave count or interval, follow the live event panel.
Current documented event shape
Current Season 3 documentation repeatedly shows 30 waves. The game rules confirms Tuesday and Friday attacks; use the live event panel for exact start time and interval.
Successful waves award rewards; failed waves damage the Center. If Center durability reaches zero and it becomes ruins, later-wave rewards stop.

Detailed guide
Failure condition
A failed individual wave can damage the Center without ending the event immediately. The critical failure is Center durability reaching zero: the Center becomes ruins and future wave rewards stop.
Officer prep
- Confirm the live start timer instead of hard-coding an old 11:30 reference.
- Fill the Alliance Center before the first wave.
- Keep a replacement/rotation call ready for weakened defenders.
- Watch Center durability, not just whether each individual wave is cleared.
- Repair and reset the Center before the next Tuesday/Friday cycle.
Failure ladder
Failed wave → Center durability damage → repeated failures can reduce durability to zero → Center becomes ruins → later-wave rewards stop. One failed wave is recoverable; losing the Center is the event-ending state that matters most.
