Warlord Missile: client-supported operating rules

RuleOperational meaning
Attacker onlyGoldust defenders cannot schedule a defensive Warlord Missile.
OperatorThe alliance Warlord title holder launches; R4/R5 organizes the operation but rank alone is not launch authority.
Use windowUse is documented in Goldust pre-war/war. Confirm the current phase and skill availability.
Legal targetThe target must be inside the defending Alliance Center effective range. Use the live preview.
Preparation riskThe Warlord enters War Fever and becomes attackable. Relocation or being blasted away during preparation fails the launch and triggers the failed-launch cooldown.
CollateralDocumented Center durability deduction applies to all Alliance Centers in range; allied Centers are not explicitly exempt.
FootprintThe current documented Season 3 footprint is 35×35. Treat it as a square footprint/preview, not a 35-tile circular radius.

Launch procedure

  1. Name the Warlord, caller, protection lead, target scout and allied-clearance contact before the round.
  2. Verify attacker eligibility, target range, current skill availability/cooldown, nearby allied Centers/bases and a return point outside the intended impact area.
  3. Decide the purpose: displacement, pressure or authorized finish. Hold the launch if it can end the Center before planned secondary plunder is complete.
  4. Brief target, live footprint, countdown, Warlord position, friendly-clearance deadline, Center GO/HOLD and reassembly point.
  5. During preparation the Warlord stays in place; protection teams defend the operator while the caller watches the real countdown and interruption state.
  6. At impact, report actual damage/displacement, remaining durability and garrison state, then retask from the new state.
  7. After impact or failure, regroup, restore legal garrisons, report losses and current skill availability, and record observed values without turning one server observation into a universal rule.

Defensive response

  1. Report Warlord coordinates, target/preview and actual countdown immediately.
  2. Assign mobile interception squads to breach or force relocation while keeping Center/secondary defenders and the reserve staffed.
  3. Members inside the preview follow the caller's movement order; do not rely on an assumed shield interaction.
  4. After impact, verify base positions, building garrisons and remaining durability before rebuilding the defense.

Do not hard-code universal Warlord damage, successful-use cooldown, shield behavior, hit count or a fixed safe-distance formula. The live skill/preview is authoritative for those values.

Access and after-impact checks

Open and validate the skill

  1. Current documented menu path: Alliance → Official Skill. Interface labels can change, so follow the live alliance skill menu if your client names it differently.
  2. Confirm the operator actually holds the alliance Warlord title, your alliance is the attacking side in the active Goldust round, the target is legal, and the skill is available before moving the launcher.
  3. Do not invent an HQ, research or Missile Factory prerequisite for the Goldust Warlord Missile. Availability is determined by the live event/skill state.

Contaminated Land response

Community documentation currently reports roughly one hour of Contaminated Land after a successful impact and reports that bases in the affected zone cannot activate a new shield while the restriction is active; it also reports that an already-active shield is not broken by the impact. Event details does not independently settle every shield/duration interaction, so treat those details as live-confirmed, not universal.

  1. Immediately check the contamination warning, map footprint and shield button state on the affected account.
  2. The caller assigns a temporary reassembly point outside the affected area while restrictions persist. Do not tell members to return merely because the explosion animation ended.
  3. Restore legal garrisons and objective coverage from the safe side of the affected area, then authorize return only after the live contamination/shield restriction clears.
  4. Record the observed duration, shield behavior, damage and skill availability separately; one server observation is not a universal rule.

Detailed guide

Warlord preparation risk

During preparation the Warlord enters War Fever and becomes attackable. Relocating or being blasted away during preparation causes the launch to fail and triggers cooldown. Protect the launcher instead of treating the missile button as an instant action.

Muse skill is separate

Summon Mummy Army is the Goldust government/Muse skill. It has similar preparation/interruption boundaries and is not the same as the Lv90 profession skill Summon Mummies.

Availability and after-impact record
  1. Before movement: confirm Alliance → Official Skill, Warlord title, attacker role, legal target, current phase and skill availability.
  2. After impact: log the live contamination warning, shield behavior, actual affected area, damage/displacement and the safe reassembly point.
  3. After failure: log the displayed failed-launch cooldown and the cause before planning another launch.

Live rule check

  • Read exact round duration and assistance eligibility from the active War Status screen.

Watch out

  • Exact assistance limits, building durability, missile blast geometry and cooldown remain live-version sensitive.
  • Do not copy Season 2 Rare Soil missile footprint or timings into Season 3.
