Timeline
Maintained modern calendar:
- Day 25: Infinite Octagon preparation opens.
- Day 34 / Week 5 Saturday: Quarterfinal.
- Day 41 / Week 6 Saturday: Semifinal.
- Day 48 / Week 7 Saturday: Final.
During the week, attacker/defender roles are determined before the Saturday Capitol battle.
What Week 4 is actually for
Week 4 is not yet the first knockout battle.
It is for:
- reading the bracket;
- understanding server position;
- identifying likely opponent;
- setting server-wide command channels;
- agreeing which alliances/players will perform which jobs;
- protecting member availability for Saturday battle windows.
Server-level lesson
Infinite Octagon is not an “R5 of the #1 alliance” event.
It is a warzone coordination event.
Think at the warzone level rather than the alliance level:
to:
- “your warzone”
- “server leadership”
- “major alliances”
- “shared objective”
The Knowledge Engine found a meaningful current-vs-stale first-party conflict in an eligibility threshold.
A retained client string contains an old low threshold, while later current official guidance contains a dramatically higher threshold.
Because the exact metric/threshold context has conflicting retained evidence, use the current live rule screen:
- ignore the stale retained client threshold;
- do not use a number without its exact metric label;
- treat the current live Octagon rules screen as final authority.
This is a good example of the evidence engine preventing stale packaged data from becoming polished misinformation.
Headline
Week 5 is where Season 1 becomes a warzone event rather than an alliance event. Personal progression still matters, but the major outcome is determined by coordinated server-level execution.
Maintained-current timing
- Quarterfinal: Week 5 Saturday / Season Day 34.
Player priorities
- Know whether the warzone is attacker or defender.
- Save meaningful combat readiness for the Saturday battle.
- Follow rally, garrison and objective assignments instead of chasing random PvP.
- Keep VRI / Profession / main Military Base progression moving, but do not spend temporary resources only to inflate displayed account power.
Leadership priorities
- Opponent scouting.
- Server-wide command structure.
- Capitol/objective role assignment.
- Rally and garrison leads.
- Attendance planning.
- Clear communication between major alliances.
Core lesson
Random base kills are secondary if they do not help the Capitol objective.
Common mistakes
- Treating Octagon as the top alliance's private event.
- Failing to publish the plan before Saturday.
- Overcommitting to random PvP instead of the objective.
- Entering the battle with no server-wide chain of command.
Maintained-current timing
- Tesla Exclusive Weapon: Season Day 39.
- Semifinal: Week 6 Saturday / Season Day 41.
Tesla Exclusive Weapon guidance
Use the same activation distinction already taught for Kimberly and DVA:
- hero-specific activation shards/chests activate the weapon;
- Universal Exclusive Weapon Shards upgrade an already activated weapon;
- do not tell players Universal shards substitute for activation shards.
The modern post-season Black Market can provide a later activation path in maintained-current versions, so missing the original window does not necessarily mean permanent loss of access.
Week 6 resource question
By Week 6, every seasonal-resource spend should answer:
Does this still create meaningful value before the season ends?
Good uses:
- main-squad Military Base levels that materially improve battle performance;
- VRI / Profession progression still needed for seasonal goals;
- useful Serum Shop purchases.
Weak uses:
- pushing off-squad temporary Military Bases simply for displayed power;
- hoarding seasonal currency only because the settlement conversion is unknown.
Maintained-current timing
- Final: Week 7 Saturday / Season Day 48.
Player checklist
- Finish Profession goals.
- Spend useful seasonal currencies before value disappears.
- Check remaining Serum Shop targets.
- Avoid unnecessary investment into temporary systems that will vanish shortly.
- Preserve troops/resources for the final major war if participating.
Leadership checklist
- Final Influence-position check.
- Final City/Stronghold route decisions.
- Publish settlement reward criteria before Week 8.
- Save contribution/attendance records if they will be used for allocation.
- Make sure members understand which resources disappear and which permanent gains stay.
Common mistake
