Quick answer
Every Tuesday and Friday, the Crimson Legion attacks one alliance-held city during its active event window. Leadership should know the target early, fill the defense intelligently, and protect city durability.
Maintained-modern operating rules
Current maintained event documentation states:
- Target is announced at the start of the server day.
- Attack begins 12 hours after the target announcement.
- Maximum 20 reinforcing participants.
- Attack consists of 30 waves.
- All alliance members can receive successful-defense rewards even if they did not personally reinforce.
- Later successful defenses make future Crimson Legion attacks stronger.
- A failed wave damages city durability.
- If city durability reaches 0, the alliance loses the city to the Crimson Legion.
These details are now strongly corroborated, but the 20/30 limits remain maintained-current until directly recovered from the first-party client or current in-game rules screen.
Member instructions
- Check which city was selected.
- Do not blindly occupy limited defense slots with a weak squad if the alliance is struggling with later waves.
- Send the strongest useful squad requested by leadership.
- Watch troop health/casualties as the event scales harder.
- Be ready for rotation/reinforcement instructions in later attacks.
R4/R5 operating plan
Before attack
- Announce target immediately.
- Identify the strongest available defenders.
- Decide whether all 20 slots should be filled immediately or staged.
- Track city durability.
- Ensure members understand that the event is protecting alliance territory, not only earning personal rewards.
During attack
- Watch which defenders are failing.
- Rotate weakened squads if the current event state allows it.
- Keep strong later-wave defenders available.
- Monitor infection/healing needs if virus stacks become relevant.
After attack
- Record where the defense began failing.
- Use that data to improve the next Tuesday/Friday roster.
- Remember that later successful defenses produce stronger future attacks.
Crimson Legion common mistakes
- Leadership failing to announce the target.
- Filling every slot first-come-first-served regardless of squad strength.
- Treating early easy defenses as proof later attacks need no coordination.
- Ignoring city durability.
- Assuming members must be online for every early wave rather than understanding reinforcement persistence.
- Confusing Season 1 Crimson Legion with later Season 1 off-season Queen's Revenge, which has a different schedule and wave structure.
