1. Build the fixed core
- Select the correct season at the top of the planner.
- Place the Alliance Furnace first in Season 2. The planner will show and focus the 39×39 Season 2 heat area.
- Place Marshall Guard, then place R5, R4 bases, Cities, or other fixed structures you already know you want to preserve.
- Use Edit to select, move, rename, or place structures. Use Navigate when you only want to pan safely without moving anything.
- On mobile, selecting a structure from Add automatically uses a closer Placement View when the hive core already exists.
Planner note: The 39×39 Season 2 heat area is based on in-game observations used by the planner, not a in-game configuration table.
2. Populate members
- Place exactly one Season 2 Alliance Furnace and one Marshall Guard before using Populate.
- Place all R5, R4, and other structures that must stay fixed before population.
- Open More → Populate Members and choose the total player-base target. For a full alliance, use 100.
- Tap Preview. The planner returns to the full Furnace heat-zone view so you can review the proposed hive.
What Populate does: it fills valid 3×3 regular-member slots while prioritizing the shortest geometric center-to-center distance to Marshall Guard. Proposed bases must stay on the established 3×3 lattice, remain fully inside the Furnace heat area, stay inside the board, and avoid all overlaps.
Populate never moves your existing R5, R4, Marshall Guard, Furnace, City, or other manually placed structures.
3. Adjust the preview
- Review the blue proposed member bases before applying them.
- Tap Adjust if you want to move a few proposed bases manually.
- Drag a proposed base to another valid 3×3 slot. Invalid positions are rejected automatically.
- Adjusted preview bases receive a gold outline.
- Tap Apply only when the preview looks correct.
4. check the hive
Open More → Check Hive after the layout is applied. The planner checks:

MG packingEfficiency score
100% MG Efficiency means no valid rearrangement of regular-member bases can lower their average center-to-center distance to Marshall Guard while keeping the current fixed structures, alignment, and active Season 2 heat constraints.
Player names
Select an R5, R4, or regular Member base to optionally add the player's name. Names are organization metadata only; they do not change the 3×3 footprint, placement, Populate logic, or check.

🟥 Warning
- MG distance is geometric center-to-center planner distance. It is not claimed to be the game’s exact march-time formula.
- The planner does not move bases in Last War. Use it to plan the hive, then reproduce the approved layout in-game.
