How the timer changes and exactly what decides victory.
ScopeWEEK 4 · RARE SOIL WAR
🟨 Rules & schedules
The standard Rare Soil War battle time is 40 minutes.
Battle time is reduced when multiple attacking alliances are involved.
The current balance table is: 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 = 40 minutes; 2v1 and 3v2 = 30 minutes; 3v1 = 20 minutes.
Defense-victory rewards are doubled when defenders are one alliance fewer and tripled when they are two alliances fewer.
Attackers win only by completely destroying the defending Alliance Furnace before their battle timer ends.
If the Furnace survives until the timer expires, the defense wins.
🟩 BlackBar Gaming recommends
Attackers should plan around the actual timer shown for their matchup, not assume every battle lasts 40 minutes.
Defenders do not need to wipe every attacker; the strategic objective is to keep the Furnace alive until time expires.
🟥 Warning
Use the live event screen for the current balance rules and timers each round.
War Stage point sources
the game says specific kills and healing actions can earn Rare Soil War event Points.
Using Training or Healing Speed-Up items during the War Stage also increases Points toward the three reward chests.
Attackers additionally gain Points when they successfully damage the defending Alliance Furnace’s durability.
🟩 BlackBar Gaming recommends
Use speed-ups when they also support the battle plan; do not burn valuable speed-ups only for Points without checking the live chest thresholds and your remaining needs.
Current balance table
Equal numbers on both sides: 40 minutes and 1× Defense Victory Reward.
Defenders outnumbered by 1: 30 minutes and 2× Defense Victory Reward.
Defenders outnumbered by 2: 20 minutes and 3× Defense Victory Reward.
“Defending Alliances” includes the defending Alliance plus assisting Alliances.
If the defenders win, both the defending and assisting Alliances receive the applicable multiplied Victory Rewards. If attackers win, assisting Alliances do not lose Rare Soil.
Starting Furnace durability also affects battle rewards
At the beginning of battle, the defending Alliance receives battle rewards based on Alliance Furnace durability; higher durability means more defender rewards.
When attackers damage the Furnace, they take part of those defender rewards. More Furnace durability damage means more of those rewards shift to the attackers.
This battle-reward transfer is separate from the 20% / 30% Rare Soil stake used when the attacking side actually wins the war.
🟩 BlackBar Gaming recommends
Defenders should check Furnace durability before Prep and enter the War Stage with as much durability as the live repair/recovery rules allow. Furnace health affects more than just how long the objective survives.
