🟨 Declaration target eligibility — same group only
- You may declare only on an Alliance in the opposing faction that is in the same Rare Soil Ranking Group as your Alliance.
- Example: if your Alliance is in Group 1, a Group 2 Alliance is not an eligible declaration target. Group 1 attacks eligible Group 1 opponents; Group 2 attacks eligible Group 2 opponents, and so on.
- The exact numeric rank ranges inside each group can change by rollout, so use the live Declaration screen to confirm your current group and eligible opponents.
🧪 Rare Soil rules
Rare Soil battle · non-War Day
Declared attackers can still march directly on the enemy Alliance Furnace. For cross-Warzone base PvP, the current Season 2 rules limits non-War-Day attacks to bases inside Contaminated Land.
Rare Soil battle · War Day
Declared attackers can march directly on the Furnace, and Saturday War Day allows broader cross-Warzone base attacks. Shields and other live event restrictions still apply.
Furnace access is separate from normal base PvP.No territory connection is required to attack the declared Rare Soil target Furnace during War on either battle day.

🟦 Facts
- In-game descriptions differ on Dig Site Rare Soil: the dedicated Digging Stronghold production rule emphasizes Coal, while a separate current Rare Soil acquisition tip says captured Digging Strongholds can also produce a small amount of Rare Soil each hour. Cities remain a Rare Soil source; use the live territory screen for exact current production values.
- Rare Soil is the Season 2 ranking resource.
- Rare Soil War runs from Week 4 through Week 7.
- The Rare Soil stake is 20% of the defender’s Rare Soil in Weeks 4–5 and 30% in Weeks 6–7.
🟨 Rules & schedules
- Rare Soil and Rare Soil War are connected, but they are not the same thing.
- Rare Soil is the season-ranking resource produced by controlled territory.
- Rare Soil War is the PvP system used to take Rare Soil by attacking the defending Alliance Furnace.
🟩 BlackBar Gaming recommends
- Build Rare Soil income before Week 4 by improving the quality of controlled Cities. Use Dig Sites to secure Coal and the territory routes needed to reach better Cities.
- Treat every war decision as a risk-versus-reward decision: soil gained matters, but so does protecting the soil already held.
🟥 Warning
- Do not assume one attacking alliance always receives the entire 20% or 30% stake when multiple attackers are involved; individual shares can differ.
- Use the live event screen if its calculation or wording differs from the handbook.
20% base rate · 30% higher-plunder modifier
- A normal attacking victory can loot 20% of the defender’s Rare Soil.
- A separate higher-plunder Rare Soil event modifier raises that rate from 20% to 30%. The Season 2 Showdown schedule places this higher-stake period in the later Rare Soil rounds.
- When multiple attacking Alliances win, the defender’s total loss stays at the active rate; each attacking Alliance’s share is based on its contribution to Furnace durability damage.
🟥 Warning
- Treat the live Rare Soil event screen as screen to follow for whether the normal 20% rate or the 30% higher-plunder modifier is active in the current round.
Current Rare Soil War data
- An Alliance must have an Alliance Furnace to participate in Rare Soil War.
- Up to 3 Alliances can declare on one defending Alliance at once.
- When multiple attacking Alliances win, Rare Soil is split according to each attacker’s share of Alliance Furnace durability damage.
Rare Soil income sources
- Captured Cities provide continuing Alliance Rare Soil.
- Successful attacking victories in Rare Soil War can also add Rare Soil by plundering the defender.
- Digging Strongholds are the continuing territory source of Coal—not Rare Soil.
Participation, ranking and snapshot rules
- Rare Soil War participation is not automatic for every Alliance. If an Alliance does not qualify for the round, the game tells it to capture more Cities to improve its ranking.
- An Alliance Furnace must be built to participate in Rare Soil War.
- The Rare Soil amount shown in the declaration list is a snapshot from the beginning of the Declaration Stage and may no longer equal the target’s live holdings.
- Alliance Rare Soil leaderboard data can update with a delay.
- Alliance Furnace level rises automatically with the Alliance Rare Soil stockpile and can drop if Rare Soil is plundered.
🟩 BlackBar Gaming recommends
- Before every round, check qualification, current Ranking Group, Alliance Furnace status, and the live event timer instead of assuming last round’s eligibility still applies.
- Treat the displayed target Rare Soil amount as planning information, not a live bank balance. Re-check the War Status and live event screen before finalizing a declaration.
🟥 Warning
- do not teach Dig Sites = Coal / Cities = Rare Soil as a universal binary while the in-game descriptions differ.
