SEASON 2

Rare Soil Defense Strategy

Officer defense plan and member orders for keeping the Alliance Furnace alive until time expires.

ScopeWEEK 4 · RARE SOIL WAR
⏱️ Battle-day start:Prep 12:00 → War 12:30 · server time · Wednesday & Saturday

in-game additions for defenders

  • During the War Stage, Furnace durability does not automatically recover and the Furnace cannot be relocated.
  • The Season 2 rules state the Rare Soil War alliance structure cannot automatically recover durability or be manually repaired during Prep. Repair and position the objective before Prep; the notice itself uses the label “Alliance Center,” so the live Furnace screen remains screen to follow for the repair control.
  • Defenders cannot use Warlord Missiles during Rare Soil War.
  • Wednesday is not the general War Day: cross-Warzone base attacks on non-War Days are tied to Contaminated Land. Saturday is War Day and allows broader cross-Warzone base pressure.
  • Training or Healing Speed-Up items can add War Stage Points, while attackers also earn Points when they damage Furnace durability.
🛡️ Rare Soil War defense command

One objective: survive the timer

Defenders do not need to destroy every attacker. The defense wins when the Alliance Furnace still has durability remaining as the live battle timer reaches zero.

Win conditionKeep the Alliance Furnace above zero durabilityuntil the live battle timer expires

Defense rules

  • The Alliance Furnace can hold up to 100 reinforcing squads. Those squads protect the Furnace before incoming attacks can reduce its durability.
  • If the Furnace survives until the live timer expires, the defense wins. If its durability reaches zero first, the attackers win and that battle ends early.
  • Alliance Furnace relocation is forbidden once the Rare Soil War Prep Stage begins, so the final defensive geometry must be chosen beforehand.
  • If the Furnace has zero durability or has not been built when War begins, the defense is ruled an immediate defeat.
  • assisting Alliances can reinforce the Furnace after Prep begins. The defender plus assistants count as the defending side for the live matchup timer and Defense Victory Reward multiplier.
  • Equal sides receive a 40-minute battle and 1× Defense Victory Reward; defenders outnumbered by one receive 30 minutes and 2×; defenders outnumbered by two receive 20 minutes and 3×.
  • A successful Warlord Missile creates a 25×25 Contaminated Land area, forcibly relocates affected bases, and damages the Alliance Furnace. Existing shields are not broken, but new shields cannot be activated inside Contaminated Land.
  • Starting Furnace durability affects battle rewards. As attackers reduce durability, part of those rewards shifts to the attacking side even if the Furnace ultimately survives.

🧭 BlackBar Gaming defense sequence
1

Secure the objective before Prep

Finish Furnace placement and all available repair before Prep. Once Prep begins, relocation locks; a in-game rule also says the Rare Soil War alliance structure cannot auto-recover durability or be manually repaired during the preparation phase.

2

Lock the defense command

Name one battle caller, a War Status/timer watcher, a garrison coordinator, a replacement-squad coordinator, a missile-recovery lead, and one contact for each assisting Alliance.

3

Build the reinforcement pipeline

Confirm who sends the opening garrison, who holds replacement squads, and how members report defeated or unavailable marches. Do not let all useful squads become trapped in unrelated rallies before War.

4

Absorb the opening disruption

Watch missile status and the live map. If bases are displaced, execute the announced regroup plan, preserve access to the Furnace, and refill garrison losses without waiting for individual instructions.

5

Keep a squad between damage and durability

The critical loop is simple: monitor garrison losses, call replacements, and keep eligible squads flowing into open slots. Counterattack only when it protects that loop.

6

Defend the final clock

Call the remaining time and stop unnecessary pursuits. The Furnace does not need full durability to win; it needs any durability remaining when the live timer reaches zero.

👑 Officer command view

Assign these jobs before War

  • Battle caller: issues one current order and prevents conflicting commands.
  • Status watcher: tracks the live timer, Furnace durability, garrison state, missile status, and participants.
  • Garrison coordinator: calls opening squads and replacements without inventing an not yet clear universal reinforcement order.
  • Recovery lead: directs displaced members, gap control, and the post-missile regroup.
  • Counter-pressure lead: assigns only the squads needed to disrupt enemy pressure while the main defense protects the Furnace.
  • Partner contacts: keep assisting Alliances on the same timer, garrison, and recovery call.
👥 Member orders

What every defender should do

  • Before War: heal, recall unnecessary marches, and keep every assigned squad available.
  • At the call: reinforce only according to the announced opening or replacement plan.
  • After defeat: heal as practical, report your squad status, and prepare the next eligible replacement.
  • If forcibly relocated: follow the regroup sector or gap-control assignment instead of choosing a random position.
  • Do not chase attackers, join unrelated rallies, gather, or hunt zombies while your assigned march is needed for Furnace defense.
🔀 Live command decisions

Missile preparation is detected

Alert the defense, check the live target preview, protect the response layer outside the likely disruption core, and prepare the regroup call.

Bases are forcibly relocated

Use the preassigned recovery sectors, restore useful access around the Furnace, and keep replacement squads moving while the hive reorganizes.

Garrison is collapsing

Call the next replacement group immediately. Pull available assigned squads from secondary fights before Furnace durability becomes exposed.

Furnace durability is taking damage

Prioritize eligible reinforcements and shorten reporting delays. Do not assume a partial-damage defense is safe merely because much of the timer remains.

Attackers pressure defender bases

Use the assigned counter-pressure team. Everyone else preserves the garrison and replacement cycle unless the battle caller changes the order.

The final minutes begin

Protect the clock. Keep any available durability covered, announce exact remaining time, and avoid pursuits that do not directly preserve the Furnace.

🟩 BlackBar Gaming recommends

  • Publish one short defense order before War: Furnace location, start time, opening garrison, replacement groups, partner contacts, missile-recovery sector, and the single battle caller.
  • Use the live matchup timer. Equal sides normally defend for 40 minutes; being outnumbered can shorten the defense to 30 or 20 minutes while increasing the Defense Victory Reward multiplier.
  • Keep some active heavy hitters in the outer response layer rather than placing every strongest account inside the likely missile core.
  • Separate counter-pressure from objective defense. Attacking enemy bases is useful only when it protects the Furnace garrison, delays objective damage, or follows a specific command assignment.
  • After the battle, record the matchup timer, attendance, assisting-Alliance participation, missile result, starting and final Furnace durability, garrison failure points, and the main reason the defense held or broke.
📣 Short member order

Ready-to-post defense instructions

RARE SOIL DEFENSE: Heal, recall unnecessary marches, and keep every assigned squad free before War. Follow the announced opening garrison and replacement groups. Our objective is to keep the Alliance Furnace alive until the timer ends. If your squad is defeated or your base is relocated, report it immediately, follow the regroup plan, and prepare your next available squad. Do not chase attackers unless assigned.

🟥 Warning

  • Rare Soil War does not inherit Beast Crisis’s “latest reinforcement is attacked first” rule. Use the live Rare Soil War battle screen and your announced garrison plan rather than assuming Beast Crisis attack order applies here.
  • Exact map geometry, missile impact, attacker participation, assisting-Alliance attendance, march distance, and available battle time change every war. This playbook is an adaptable command structure, not a guaranteed formation.
  • The live War Status, Furnace screen, missile targeting preview, and battle timer override any subject to change value shown differently here.

🟩 BlackBar Gaming recommends

  • Treat Prep as the hard maintenance deadline: finish the Furnace location and all available repair before the stage begins.
  • On Wednesday, use Contaminated Land boundaries as part of the defensive picture. On Saturday, expect enemy base pressure to be much broader.
  • Use healing speed-ups when they preserve the garrison cycle and also help Point rewards; do not spend them only for score without checking the live thresholds.
