Who can be attacked, how partners work, and how to choose a target.
ScopeWEEK 4 · RARE SOIL WAR
🟨 Declaration target eligibility — same group only
You may declare only on an Alliance in the opposing faction that is in the same Rare Soil Ranking Group as your Alliance.
Example: if your Alliance is in Group 1, a Group 2 Alliance is not an eligible declaration target. Group 1 attacks eligible Group 1 opponents; Group 2 attacks eligible Group 2 opponents, and so on.
The exact numeric rank ranges inside each group can change by rollout, so use the live Declaration screen to confirm your current group and eligible opponents.
🟨 Rules & schedules
Each alliance can attack four times during the Week 4–7 Rare Soil War period.
Attack targets must be in the opposing faction and in the same Rare Soil Ranking Group as your Alliance. Cross-group declarations are not eligible.
Up to three alliances may declare on one defender.
The attacker may change its target before declaration closes.
A defender may invite one partner against two attackers, or two partners against three attackers.
Invited partners must be in the defender’s faction and ranking group and not already declared upon.
🟩 BlackBar Gaming recommends
Do not choose a target from ranking alone. Compare Rare Soil value, expected attendance, Furnace defense strength, likely defense partners, and the number of competing attackers.
Before Declaration closes, confirm that leadership knows who is attacking, who may defend with the target, and whether the expected soil return justifies the fight.
🟥 Warning
Current numeric ranking-group brackets are intentionally omitted because grouping can be subject to change. Use the opponents shown as eligible in the event screen.
Assisting-Alliance eligibility
R4 and above may send defense-assistance invitations when the defender is targeted by multiple attackers.
An assisting Alliance must be in the defender’s Faction, in the same Rare Soil Ranking Group, and not be declared upon by any Alliance that round.
Two attackers allow up to 1 assisting Alliance; three attackers allow up to 2.
Current declaration and partner locks
Only Alliance R4 and above can declare war.
An attacking Alliance can lock at most one defending Alliance in a round.
An Alliance cannot declare war on the same Alliance in consecutive weeks.
Once an invited assisting Alliance accepts, that defense partnership is locked and cannot be changed.
An assisting Alliance can accept only one Alliance defense invitation for that war.
Invitation voting and target control
the game says the invited Alliance’s accept-or-decline decision is voted on by R4 and above members.
An assisting Alliance can accept only one Alliance invitation for that war.
Once an assisting Alliance accepts, that defense partnership is locked and cannot be changed.
An attacking Alliance cannot declare on the same Alliance it declared war on in the previous week.
🟥 Warning
Some older community material describes different voting permissions. For the current rules, BlackBar Gaming follows the game rule that the assistance decision is voted on by R4 and above.
