Season 1 rolls out Exclusive Weapon opportunities over the season. The important distinction is activation versus later upgrading.

Facts

Maintained windows: Kimberly around Day 4, DVA around Day 18, Tesla around Day 39.
Hero-specific activation shards/chests activate the weapon. Universal Exclusive Weapon Shards upgrade an already activated weapon.
Modern post-season Black Market can provide later F2P activation access in maintained-current versions.

Watch out

Universal upgrade shards are not a substitute for activation shards.

How it works

DVA Exclusive Weapon

Public guidance should distinguish:

hero-specific activation shards used to activate the weapon;
Universal Exclusive Weapon Shards used after activation;
later Black Market access that can create a F2P activation path in the modern post-season ecosystem.

Do not write “Universal shards activate the weapon.”

Tesla Exclusive Weapon guidance

Use the same activation distinction already taught for Kimberly and DVA:

hero-specific activation shards/chests activate the weapon;
Universal Exclusive Weapon Shards upgrade an already activated weapon;
do not tell players Universal shards substitute for activation shards.

The modern post-season Black Market can provide a later activation path in maintained-current versions, so missing the original window does not necessarily mean permanent loss of access.

Maintained-current post-season evidence supports later access to Kimberly/DVA/Tesla activation shards/chests through the Black Market ecosystem.

Keep exact inventory/price tables dynamic/live-screen based because shop rotations can change.
