Quick read
Sandworms are both a hazard and a resource source. Generate shock waves, kill the spawned worm efficiently, keep vulnerable bases inside Alliance Center range and collect Scales/Treasure within the current daily caps.
Current treasure limits
Small Sandworms can entangle the targeted base; teleporting can escape but forfeits the worm/reward opportunity.
Large Sandworms can knock bases away when the target is outside Alliance Center protection in Season 3.
Current Season 3 update raised ordinary Sandworm Treasure daily claim cap from 20 to 30.
Giant Sandworm has a separate Treasure system with a current daily collection limit of 10.

BlackBar Gaming recommends
- Stay within useful Alliance Center range when larger Sandworms are active.
- Use alliance rallies for larger targets and collect treasure promptly.
- Spend Sandworm Scales through the Desert Bazaar rather than carrying a pointless end-of-season balance.
Watch out
- Suggested power varies by server progression; use the live target power and stats for your server.
Season 3 patch-history clarification
A bundled update extends the Giant Sandworm's stun to five minutes and says it takes 100% more damage while stunned.
The separate Large Sandworm rule describes a berserk timer 300 seconds after an attack. That is not the Giant Sandworm's stun timer.
These notes are preserved in the client, not proof that every server has enabled the same rules. Your live event and skill panels take precedence.

Detailed guide
Shock-wave loop
Alliance combat generates shock-wave progress. When the bar fills, the final contributor attracts the worm. The discoverer/target receives a bonus in Season 3, so being selected is not automatically bad if the alliance can kill the target quickly.
Current treasure changes
- Ordinary Sandworm Treasure daily claim limit: 30 in the current update branch.
- Large/Giant Sandworms can drop Alliance Resource Tiles after the current update.
- Giant Sandworm Treasure: separate daily collection limit 10; current update changed drop/collection behavior.
Current treasure limits
| Treasure | Current rule |
|---|---|
| Ordinary Sandworm Treasure | Daily claim cap increased from 20 to 30. |
| Giant Sandworm Treasure | Separate daily collection limit: 10. |
| Giant treasure update | Drop amount changed 10 → 20; collection attempts per treasure changed 10 → 5. |
Alliance decision rule
Do not judge a Sandworm only by whether the rally can win. Also check whether the alliance can kill it quickly enough to protect the targeted player, whether treasure claims remain for the day, and whether the spawned resource tiles or Scales still have value.
